Q: What makes Nordic Solutions different than my staffing partners I currently use?

A: There are several factors that set us apart:

First would be the fact that you are looking for a solution for a problem that your current partners are not delivering.

Second, we don’t need to “go find” these skill sets. If you are looking for skilled trades person for your manufacturing company, we have qualified, skilled employees on our bench.

Third, we know that not all machinists are the same, neither are welders, and so forth. We take the time to understand your unique needs, then deliver a solution tailored to those needs. We will never send you an employee just to “fill the job”.

Q: Can Nordic Solutions employees be hired directly?

A: Typically, no. Our employees travel the country, and are not looking to be hired on or relocate.

Q: Do you have a minimum hours requirement per week?

A: No, there is no requirement. But our most successful projects always had overtime available for our employees to work. While they are on the road, they prefer to work as much as they can.

Q: What are the costs to engage your services?

A: Our costs are straight forward and competitive. There’s a regular time bill rate and an overtime bill rate, based on what type of skill set needed. Due to the nature of our business, there’s also a couple pass through costs for the employees, which are a daily per diem to cover lodging, meals and incidentals and a mileage reimbursement which is paid to the employee at the standard IRS mileage rate to cover expenses of their trip to your location.

Q: How long will Nordic Solutions employees work at a client’s site?

A: As long as you need them! We like to gauge what the anticipated need is for, to plan out resources, but our goal is to complete your project with the same people that started it. We do not rotate employees every few months. Whether you need someone for 3 months, or for a year, our employees are asked to see the project through to the end.

Q: We are a highly specialized manufacturing shop, so how will Nordic Solutions get us the employees we need?

A: Part of our process entails a Technical Assessment, where your subject matter experts communicate the skill sets required on your production floor to our team. Along with that, any nuances of the position should be communicated too. We will send you the employees that meet your requirements. Many of our employees have likely worked in a similar industry, or made a similar product. We have thousands of employees on our bench with a variety of skills, backgrounds and experience.

Q: How long will it take you to get us employees?

A: In most cases, we can have our employees arrive at your facility about two weeks of having an agreement in place and receiving the necessary information from the Technical Assessment.

Q: Will we be able to interview your employees?

A: It’s not the ideal situation, but we do allow our clients the opportunity to do a video call with our employees at times. We prefer our clients trust our process and experience in this industry, but we also understand that sometimes you need to test drive a car before you buy. We let you interview the first few employees we plan to send to you, but once you feel comfortable with our process, we ask that you trust us to send the people you need with the skills you need.
